Florence Irene RutledgeMemorial for Florence Irene Rutledge Born in Cleveland, OH on July 7, 1910. Departed on Sep 20, 2007 and resided in Mineral Ridge, OH. Born of Polish immigrants in Cleveland on July 7, 1910, she lived through WW I, the 1918 influenza epidemic, the Great Depression and WW II. She married, raised four children, worked as a secretary and transcriber, and did charitable works. She had to give up her dream to become a nurse due to serious hearling loss. She designed jewelry, made pottery, drawings, painting and needlework. Her deep religious beliefs sustained her through many crisis. A few years after the death of her husband, she was critically injured in an automobile accident that led to the loss of a leg and her independence. She always loved to read, and was a prolific writer. She stressed the value of education and spent many hours tutoring her children. Her memory may have faded as she approached her nineties, but she was always a formidable card player often besting her children at gin rummy and double solitaire. She is survived by four children, seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was a strong woman who inspired us all. We miss her, but her spirit lives on. Julius BabinJulius J. Babin, age 89. Julius said his final goodbye to his cherished family on July 31, 2019. It was love at first sight when Julius met Pamela (nee Radoss). They were married in 1955 and had six wonderful children: Wes (Debbie), Scott (Debbie), Dana (Carrie), Kimme Earle (Tom, deceased), Mitch (Lynn) and Holli Morgan (Guy). They were blessed with ten grandchildren: Jeff (Kristen), Kurt, Geni Busick (Paul, deceased), Luke, Braegan, Megan Earle Thomas (Matt), Bryan (Lauren), Skylar, Sidney and AJ, and two step grandchildren, Kelly and Amy. His eyes would light up when his great grandchildren, Hunter and Elli Busick and Simon and Margo Thomas and Kylee, would visit. He missed his brother, Bill and cousin, Otto Rahach, who was like a brother to him. He looked forward to visits from his sisters-in-law, Sandra, and brother-in-law, John Wessel, and Denise Radoss, as well as his nieces, nephews and other family and friends. His last wish was--when you think of him, smile and remember the happy times.
